DOW Chemical's Zhangjiagang Plant Starts Operation

Dow chemical recently announced the start of the operations of its glycol ether plant in Zhangjiagang City of Jiangsu Province, the largest propylene glycol production facility in the world, with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons of propylene glycol and other alcohol ether products. DOW Chemical had invested around US$350 million into three plants in Zhangjiagang, which produce quality epoxy, styrene butadiene rubber latex (SBR Latex) and polystyrene(PS) respectively.China is Dow Chemical's third largest market in the world, with sales amounting to US$3.3 billion last year, while its global sales were US$58 billion.
