Flying banner

Flying Banners -- Highly Visible Versatile Displays

Flying banners, also known as fly banners, teardrop banners, or sail banners, are extremely versatile marketing tools, great for both indoor and outdoor events when it's important to make sure your message always stands out. As the latest, new alternative to conventional flags, they are more sexy, vibrant and exciting.

They make great outdoor banners as they rotate smoothly in the wind. They come alive through the incorporation of movement, constantly displaying your company’s message from any angle. Their fabric is always pulled taut, so your message won’t ever be lost, even on days with no breeze. The innovative design of the flying banner ensures they cut through wind and rain and remain standing.

No doubt, they are also ideal for indoor......

Enhance China抯 Mobile Services

Industry: High Tech - Computer - Software - Internet  Expert: Cedric Mangaud Bookmark and Share
Konaxis.net: What are the core products and services offered by your company Abaxia?

Cédric: Today’s mobile phone market is a gargantuan one. There are now four times more mobile phones than PCs which are sold every year. Our company benefits from this great market by providing state-of-the-art mobile services to enhance user experience.

Abaxia specializes in mobile software solutions to place and promote services on the first screen, also known as the idle screen, of handsets. Abaxia's on-device services use handset software to make mobile services easier to discover, access, promote and distribute. Our technology is at the core of driving today’s mobile market growth: smartphones with on-screen full-range services at a glance and zero-click distance are moving to mainstream adoption.

"Widgets" and "gadgets" which are now taking the Web 2.0 by storm are an example of how complex web services can be easily discovered, accessed and used through on-device client software -- and a paradigm which we feel is extremely well suited for mobile handsets, too.

Abaxia's idle screen activating solutions resolve the issue of how mobile services can be placed on the first screen of user experience, exactly where every user journey begins and ends.

With global sales of mobile phone already approaching one billion units per year, Abaxia is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the arrival of services, contents and advertisements onto all those idle screens.

Today, Abaxia Mobile Desktop suite has been deployed on more than 23 million mobile handsets from HTC, Nokia, etc., on platforms such as Google Android, Windows Phone, Symbian S60, and other Linux based platforms, through agreements with operators in 31 countries including Orange Group (pre-loaded in every Orange Signature handsets), Vodafone Group, etc.

Konaxis.net: How about your connection with the Chinese market and your vision of the Chinese Mobile market?

Cédric: Large Chinese manufacturers, with Intel and Qualcomm chipsets, know how to easily integrate operating systems such as Google Android and Microsoft Windows Mobile, in order to target the smartphone market segment, now the fastest growing one. The value is on smartphones and therefore on services.

Abaxia, because it specializes in highlighting services provided on mobile phones, sees it as being increasingly important for Chinese mobile handsets’ manufacturers and operators. Early work in this direction of China Mobile with the oPhone is a proof, they want to control the highlighted services on the first page of the mobile phone.

Konaxis.net:  How a French company like Abaxia penetrates the Chinese market?

Cédric: The issues of services and their implementation within mobile phones are global and not local. Of course, contents are local but the strategy for the delivery of services is global. Abaxia has gained experience on mature markets and is working with major worldwide manufacturers and European mobile operators, Abaxia has a good overview of business models and services that work and provide value, earnings and satisfaction to different players. Abaxia knows how to highlight services, which ones work and which do not. The adaptation is done with the cooperation and coordination of local partners.

Konaxis.net: What is the purpose of your latest visit in China?

Cédric: On one hand, China is a great manufacturing base where the world’s most major manufacturers produce phones for the entire world. On the other hand, China is a tremendous consumer market with one of the strongest growths in the world today and where multimedia services develop at full speed thanks to operators’ infrastructure. The objective of my visit in China was to meet operators and manufacturers. In a market where the growth prospect of smartphone is immense, the concept of highlighting services, of controlling the user interface is strategic. Abaxia is the first company in the field of customization for mobile operators and wants to help major industry players in their development.

Konaxis.net: Thanks for your interview!
Cédric: Welcome!
